Our Statement Of Faith
The ten topics below outline what we believe the Bible teaches

 About ITSELF

That the Scriptures, both the “Old” and the “New” Testaments, were verbally inspired by God without error in the original writings, and that they are supreme and final in authority, faith, and life.
II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21

 About GOD

That there is one God eternally existent in three Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, co-equal in power and glory, identical in their essential nature, attributes, and perfection.
Matthew 28:19, Genesis 1:1; Hebrews 1:1-3; Acts 5:3-4; John 10:30

 About CHRIST

That the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten in the flesh by the Holy Spirit through the Virgin Mary, being thus true God and true man, and the only Mediator between God and man.
Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; John 1:14; I Timothy 2:5, Philippians 2:5-8

 About THE HOLY SPIRIT

That the Holy Spirit is that Person of the Triune Godhead, who convicts men of sin and indwells believers for a life of victory and seals them unto the “Day of Redemption.”
John 14:15-17; 16:7-12; Ephesians 1:13-14; 4:30

 About SATAN

That Satan is a personality, that he is the archenemy of God and man, that he seeks to discredit and dishonor God and to thwart all His purposes.
Job 1:6-7; Ephesians 6:11-12

 About MAN

That man was created by God in His image, not a product of evolution, but that man fell into sin and thereby incurred to himself and his posterity, not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and totally depraved, having no spark of divine life.
Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:10,23; 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3

 About SALVATION

That the Lord Jesus Christ voluntarily died as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins and that all who believe in Him are justified by His death, burial, and resurrection. That our Lord was raised bodily from the dead, that He ascended into heaven where He is now “High Priest” and “Advocate” for all true believers.
Romans 5:8, 3:23-36; I John 2:1, Hebrews 4:14-16, 7:25,26
That salvation is not of works, but by grace alone, and that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith as a personal Savior, are born again of the Holy Spirit, thus becoming the Children of God, and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and baptized by Him at the moment of salvation into that Spiritual Body (the Church) of which Christ is the Head.
Ephesians 2:8-10; John 1:11-13; Romans 10:9, I Corinthians 12:13; Colossians 1:18
That all who trust fully in the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ are eternally secure and that their final state shall be one of eternal bliss with God and the “redeemed” of all ages.
John 3:16; 5:24; 10:28,30; Ephesians 4:30; II Timothy 1:12; I John 5:13; Revelation 21:3-4

 About THE CHURCH

That the local “New Testament Church” consists of a company of believers baptized into Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. Who by the leading of the Holy Spirit, have voluntarily associated themselves for worship, for instruction and for service for our Lord as a local manifestation of the Body of Christ. Specifically important are the operation of Spiritual gifts given each believer for the benefit of the whole, that Christ might be manifest to the world.
I Corinthians 12:13; Acts 2:42-47; Romans 12:5; I Peter 4:10,11; Hebrews 10:23-25
That a local “New Testament Church” is an autonomous body whose responsibility is to Jesus Christ directly and His will as reflected in the Bible. The spiritual direction is to come through Christ’s ordained local leaders, known as Elders and must be free from interference by any convention, ecclesiastical or political authority.
Acts 14:23; 20:17-32; Titus 1:5; I Peter 5:1
That a local “New Testament Church” is responsible to exercise church discipline. The purpose of church discipline is to effect a return to a biblical standard of conduct and doctrine in a member who is living in unrepentant sin, to maintain purity in the local church, and to deter sin. Members of this church who are living in unrepentant sin shall be subject to dismissal according to Matthew 18:15-18. Before such dismissal, however, 1) it shall be the duty of any member of this church who has knowledge of the unrepentant sinning member to warn and correct such a member in private, seeking his repentance and restoration. If said unrepentant sinning member does not heed this warning, then 2) the warning member shall again go to the unrepentant sinning member accompanied by one or two witnesses to warn and correct such a member, seeking his or her repentance and restoration. If said unrepentant sinning member still refuses to heed this warning, then 3) it shall be brought to the attention of the membership of the church in a special called meeting of only the churches membership. It shall be the duty of the church to seek to make contact with said unrepentant sinning member for the purpose of warning and correcting that he or she might repent and be restored. If said unrepentant sinning member still refuses to heed this warning, then 4) he or she shall be publicly dismissed from the church in a special called assembly of the church. There shall be no appeal to any court from the decision. It is understood that this process will continue to conclusion whether the unrepentant sinning member leaves the church or otherwise seeks to withdraw from membership to avoid the discipline process. If said member, after dismissal, heeds the warning, demonstrates repentance, and requests reinstatement, he or she shall be publicly restored to membership in a special called assembly of the church.

 About BAPTISM AND COMMUNION

The water Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper are the only ordinances of the Church in this age. That these two ordinances are imperative in the life of a growing and obedient Christian.
Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Matthew 26:26-29; I Corinthians 11:23-26

 About LAST THINGS

That Christ is coming again, first prior to the Tribulation to remove all His children, then following that time to set up His Kingdom and personally reign on the earth for 1,000 years.
Revelation 3:10; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; 5:8,9; Matthew 24:15ff; Revelation 20:4
